2. Excellent cleaning effects
Based our intensive R&D on『ER-200』, we have obtained excellent achievements contributing to industry and environment.『ER-200』is found to have best cleaning effects, compared with chloric, hydrogenic and hydrocarbonic solvents.『ER-200』protects environment and worker. More cost-effective and superior cleaning.

Solubility
The dirt subject to cleaning include release agent, lubricant, processing oil and grease, of which componets are hydrocarbonic. 『ER-200』 is a special hydrocarbonic cleaner, of which basic components are similar to those of the dirt above. Basic principle of cleaning is that materials with similar components dissolve well each other. The difference in solubility is the difference in cleaning ability.
Permeability
The second reason why 『ER-200』 has excellent cleaning ability is because it has high permeability. As『ER-200』 has low surface tension, it has excellent wettness and permeability. Therefore, the product shows excellent effects in cleaning the parts with highly compressed structure of many parts and very small rifts, and the highly-curving complex assembled parts, on the basis of remarkable permeability and wettness. Most effective and efficienty cleaner for the parts that cannot be cleaned easily.

3. Reaction of『ER-200』 and metal
『ER-200』is not dissovled in water.『ER-200』has excellent effects of cleaning the corrosion-sensitive metals, together with antirusting effects.

4. Cleaning and drying process
『ER-200』is a multipurpose cleaner allowing you to select cleaning method suitable for cleaning conditions (kinds of contaminants, cleaning degree, working conditions etc.)

Cleaning process
『ER-200』can use various cleaning methods for optimal cleaning conditions.
Dipped cleaning :『ER-200』 has powerful cleaning effects. Simple dipped cleaning shows excellent effects. Using supersonic wave, spray, shaking and turning, cleaning effects get larger.
Rinsing : 『ER-200』 is a highly-refined product showing complete demanded cleanliness. If more accurate cleanliness isrequired, rinsing over two or three times is recommended. Using ‘automatic circulation’ recylcing vaporization system, if necessary, best cleanliness can be maintained.
Spraying :Effective when target object has large volume. However, liquid pressure should be lower than 1 bar. Make liquid run continuously to avoid liquid scattering.

Drying process
You can use various drying method depending on cleaning condition.
Liquid-cutting drying :Liquid-cutting of the air at static pressure or pressurized air at normal temperature by using air knife.
Hot air drying: Drying by heated air(hot blast). Air termperature should be maintained at the level 15℃ lower than the igneous point of cleaner. If hot air temperature should be higher than this, it is necessary to circulate the air to keep vapor concentration of cleaner within 25% of lower flammable concentration. Vapor concentration of『ER-200』 can be detected easily by concentration detector. If inert gases like nitrogen or carbon dioxide, using the air heated at higher temperature is possible.
Substitutive rinse :If quick drying is required like CFC-113, or if you clean one-end-closed complex-shaped parts, rinse with 『ER-200』 with excellent vaporization. This is highly effective for cleaning of small electronic parts requiring vaporized drying and superprecision. Cleaning process is same as existing ones of CFC-113 or 111-TCE. However, specially designed cooling and condensing systems, and fire-fighting systems are required.
Natural drying: Natural drying at normal temperature creates thin antirust film on the surface of parts, preventing rust for some period. When cleaned parts requires long-term rust prevention, rinse them with 『ER-200』. However, if corrosiveness is very high, apply separate metal plating or be careful in storage and deployment.
Other effective drying method includes turning, vaccum drying, depression drying, manual drying etc. Combination of variou drying methods creates better effects.

Comparision of the drying speeds of『ER-200』 and water
Surface tension of『ER-200』(23.5 dynes/㎝) is 1/3 of water(74.5). Its permeability and dispersibility are three times higher than water. Therefore 『ER-200』adhered on the cleaning target gets dried three times faster than water.
It suffices that drying system of『ER-200』 is 1/3 of water system.
The boiling point of『ER-200』is 153~188℃, much higher than water boiling point 100℃. Natural vaporization is not found when using 『ER-200』 at normal temperature, which makes it cost-effective.

5. Safety/Cautions in use and storage
As flmmability of『ER-200』 is minimal, comply with basic cautions for safe use.
Combustion range in the air of『ER-200』is when vapor content in atmosphere is 1~7%. Keeping vapor concentration in workplace atmosphere at 0.25%, which is 1/4 of lower limit 1%, the product does not catch fire even when fire source exists. Also, keeping the temperature less than 32℃, which is 15℃ lower than igneous point 47℃ of 『ER-200』. This temperature is 1/4 of lower combustion concentration of vapor.
Cautions in stroage
『ER-200』comes under the Enforcement Rules of Fire Prevention Law[second petrolic material of 4th hazards). Keep it under the enforcement rules and regulations defined under Fire Prevention Law.
